"Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme" is a certified blockbuster.
It is the only 2012 Pinoy film so far
to surpass the P100 million mark aside from Angel Locsin and John Lloyd
Cruz' Unofficially Yours.
According to Star Cinema AdProm, the Eugene Domingo starrer
horror-comedy film has reached more than P100 million in just a span of
11 days - that's P20 million higher that the over-all box-office receipt
of "Kimmy Dora: Kambal sa Kiyeme" - the movie's first installment in
2009.
With the success of Kimmy Dora 2, lead star Eugene Domingo can't contain
her happiness and thanked all the fans who supported the movie. The
sequel also earned more than the first movie which according to Box
Office Mojo earned a total of P81 million on it's entire run.
"Gusto kong magpasalamat sa lahat ng nanood at nag-enjoy hindi lang isa beses kung hindi maraming beses. Dapat tayong mag-celebrate kasi Pinoy film ngayon ang pinakamalakas sa box office. So mabuhay ang pelikulang Pilipino."
Co-produced by Star Cinema and Spring Films, "Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme" is still showing in cinemas nationwide.
