PAGASA Update - Bagyong Gener (July 30)

PAGASA update the public today, at 1:00 a.m., the center of Typhoon Gener was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 340 km East Northeast of Aparri, Cagayan (18.8°N, 125.2°E) with maximum sustained winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 100 kph and is moving North Northwest at 11 kph.

Tropical Storm "Gener" is expected to enhance the Southwest Monsoon that will bring rains over Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao especially the western section.

 PAGASA Update - July 24, 2012

A new low pressure area (LPA) has formed east of northern Luzon, the state weather bureau said on Tuesday. A potential cyclone east of Luzon intensified early Thursday and it may linger in Philippine territory until at least Sunday.

PAGASA said the new LPA was spotted 300 kilometers east of Tuguegarao, Cagayan.

In case one of the LPAs intensifies into a cyclone, it will be named “Gener” once it enters the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).

Meanwhile, the other LPA east of Mindanao “has remained almost stationary for the past six hours” and was last spotted 910 kilometers east of the region.

PAGASA said these two LPAs and the southwest monsoon (habagat) will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over northern and central Luzon.

Northern Luzon areas were warned of possible flashfloods and landslides.

During the airing of "Kris TV" on Friday where she showed to viewers her brand-new Taguig condominium, Kris Aquino was surprised to see KC's cover of Cosmopolitan Mexico that the latter revealed was released two or three years ago.

Aside from the her international magazine cover, KC was also named one of "The 25 Sexiest International Actresses You Haven't Heard Of" by the pop culture international website Complex.com.
