MTRCB Suspends "T3 Kapatid Sagot Kita!" for 90 Days
The Movie and TV Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) hands down its 90-days suspension order and a fine of P100,000 for TV5's daily afternoon public affairs program "T3 Kapatid Sagot Kita!"
The decision was made due to threatening of lives of couple Claudine and Raymart Santiago from its hosts Erwin, Ben and Raffy Tulfo during the live airing of the said program on May 8, 2012.
TV5 releases a statement condemning the said decision:
"TV5 regrets the decision of the MTRCB and views it as an act in excess of its jurisdiction. At this point, TV5 will turn to the Court of Appeals and seek judgment in its pending petition to enjoin the MTRCB from further enforcing the sanctions until a definitive ruling is made on the issue of grave abuse of discretion committed by the Censorship Board.”
